The Rehoboth Board of Selectmen in February 2016 voted to approve a Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program in Rehoboth and to accept the offer of Rehoboth Animal Advocates (RAA)organization (formerly the Friends of Rehoboth Animal Shelter) to conduct the TNR program.

The Animal Advocates operate the TNR program independently of Animal Control and the town shelter. The shelter will take in only the cats or kittens that are deemed adoptable after being trapped. Most feral/community cats are unsocialized and cannot go into homes. Animal Control is involved with rabies quarantine cases.
